Sukta 8
अनन्तं विततं पुरुत्रानन्तमन्तवच्चा समन्ते । ते नाकपालश्चरति विचिन्वन् विद्वान् भूतमुत भव्यमस्य
anantáṃ vitatáṃ purutrā́nantám ántavac cā́ samanté | té nā́kapālaś cárati vicínvan vídvān bhūtám utá bhávyam asya ||
Endless, outstretched, in many a place—endless, and yet as having end, on every side: there the Guardian of the heavenly vault goeth, discerning, wise, knowing what hath been and what shall be of it.
ಅನಂತ, ವಿಸ್ತಾರಗೊಂಡ, ಅನೇಕ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಲ್ಲಿ—ಅನಂತ, ಆದರೂ ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತವಿರುವಂತೆ; ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಕಪಾಲ (ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಪದ ರಕ್ಷಕ) ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿ, ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತಾ ಸಂಚರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ—ವಿದ್ವಾನ್, ಇದರ ಭೂತವೂ ಭವ್ಯವೂ, ಆಗಿದ್ದುದನ್ನೂ ಆಗಲಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ತಿಳಿದು.
