Lord Agni (narrating a mantra-formula within the chapter’s ritual instructions)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It gives a protective-invocation formula: addressing a power/personified deity as “Bhadra,” invoking Kaśyapa-lineage authority, and calling upon “all bījas” (seed syllables) plus ratna–auṣadhi (gems and medicinal substances) as ritual supports for auspicious intent and protection.
The verse blends mantra-śāstra (bīja-syllable technology) with material correspondences (gems and herbs), showing how the Agni Purana integrates ritual, proto-tantric mantra practice, and healing materia into a single applied instruction-set.
By sanctifying one’s “mati” (resolve) as bhadra (auspicious) through mantra and purificatory supports, the rite is framed to remove obstacles, stabilize intention, and generate protective merit aligned with dharmic, beneficent outcomes.
