मारणोच्चाटनादीनि विषुवे पञ्चधा पृथक् अधरस्य गृहे पृथ्वी ऊर्ध्वे तेजो ऽन्तरा द्रवः
māraṇoccāṭanādīni viṣuve pañcadhā pṛthak adharasya gṛhe pṛthvī ūrdhve tejo 'ntarā dravaḥ
ಮಾರಣ, ಉಚ್ಚಾಟನ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಕರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಷುವಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಐದು ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೇಕವಾಗಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ಅಧಃ ‘ಗೃಹ’ದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೃಥ್ವಿ; ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತೇಜಸ್ (ಅಗ್ನಿ); ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರವ ತತ್ತ್ವ (ಜಲ) ಸ್ಥಿತವಾಗಿದೆ.
