Muni (the sage’s son, unnamed)
Tirtha: Prabhāsa-kṣetra
Type: kshetra
Scene: A terrifying kṛtyā-weapon sweeps across a battlefield-like cosmic sky; gods cluster together, some with hands raised in supplication, yet the ascetic’s resolve remains unsoftened; the composition emphasizes the tragedy of denied refuge.
Vengeance expands to consume even the innocent allied with the target; dharma warns against retaliatory escalation.
Prabhāsakṣetra is the overarching sacred setting, though this verse emphasizes narrative conflict.
The kṛtyā is treated as a ‘weapon’ (śastra), but no practical rite is prescribed.
