विषकन्योवाच । भर्तुरर्थे मया देवि कृतोऽयं तपौद्यमः । तत्किं तेन करिष्यामि सांप्रतं जरयावृता
viṣakanyovāca | bharturarthe mayā devi kṛto'yaṃ tapaudyamaḥ | tatkiṃ tena kariṣyāmi sāṃprataṃ jarayāvṛtā
វិសកញ្ញាមានពាក្យ៖ «ឱ ព្រះនាងទេវី! ខ្ញុំបានចាប់ផ្តើមតបស្យា (ការតបស) នេះ ដើម្បីប្រយោជន៍ប្តី។ ឥឡូវនេះ ខ្ញុំត្រូវធ្វើអ្វីជាមួយវា ខណៈដែលជរាបានគ្របដណ្តប់ខ្ញុំ?»
