Haṃsa (contextual: addressing Mahādeva/Śiva)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śiva (addressed as sura-uttama)
Scene: A devotee (Haṃsa) proclaims the deity’s perpetual residence in a liṅga; the liṅga stands central, newly sanctified, with celestial beings witnessing; atmosphere of consecration.
A tīrtha becomes universally beneficent when the deity’s presence is affirmed there; worship at such a place is framed as loka-hita (welfare of all).
The liṅga-site described in Nāgarakhaṇḍa, Adhyāya 30, presented as a permanent seat of divine presence.
The theological prescription is permanence of presence in the liṅga—supporting ongoing worship, darśana, and pilgrimage merit.
