सूत उवाच । इममर्थं पुरा पृष्टो वासवेन बृहस्पतिः । यथा प्रोवाच विप्रेंद्रास्तद्वो वक्ष्यामि सांप्रतम्
sūta uvāca | imamarthaṃ purā pṛṣṭo vāsavena bṛhaspatiḥ | yathā provāca vipreṃdrāstadvo vakṣyāmi sāṃpratam
សូតាបាននិយាយថា៖ កាលពីបុរាណ ព្រះព្រហស្បតិ ត្រូវបានវាសវៈ (ឥន្ទ្រ) សួរអំពីរឿងនេះ។ ឱ ព្រាហ្មណ៍ដ៏ប្រសើរ ដូចដែលទ្រង់បានពន្យល់ ខ្ញុំនឹងប្រាប់អ្នកទាំងឡាយឥឡូវនេះ។
