बर्बरीक उवाच । अहं कुरुकुलोत्पन्नः पांडुपुत्रस्य पौत्रकः । बर्बरीक इति ख्यातस्तं दैत्यं हंतुमागतः
barbarīka uvāca | ahaṃ kurukulotpannaḥ pāṃḍuputrasya pautrakaḥ | barbarīka iti khyātastaṃ daityaṃ haṃtumāgataḥ
បរបរីក បាននិយាយថា៖ «ខ្ញុំកើតក្នុងវង្សកុរុ ជាចៅប្រុសនៃកូនប្រុសរបស់បណ្ឌុ។ ខ្ញុំមាននាមល្បីថា បរបរីក ហើយខ្ញុំបានមកដើម្បីសម្លាប់អសុរនោះ»។
