Ghaṭotkaca (explicit: “ghaṭotkaca uvāca”)
Scene: The woman, calling him ‘lord of my life,’ asks for his command; Ghaṭotkaca replies with a firm condition: as long as ‘he’ remains concealed, marriage cannot occur; the scene holds suspense and impending revelation.
Dharma requires clarity and rightful procedure—hidden identities or secrecy can obstruct lawful rites like marriage.
None is mentioned in this verse; it is a narrative instruction within the Kaumārikākhaṇḍa.
No ritual is prescribed; the verse comments on the conditions under which vivāha (marriage rite) can be properly concluded.
