अनर्हते यद्ददाति न ददाति तथार्हते । अर्हानर्हपरिज्ञानाद्दानधर्मो हि दुष्करः
anarhate yaddadāti na dadāti tathārhate | arhānarhaparijñānāddānadharmo hi duṣkaraḥ
បើមនុស្សម្នាក់ឲ្យទានដល់អ្នកមិនសម និងមិនឲ្យដល់អ្នកសម—ព្រោះការដឹងច្បាស់ថានរណាសម នរណាមិនសម គឺពិបាក—ដូច្នេះធម៌នៃទានក៏ក្លាយជាការលំបាកក្នុងការបំពេញ។
