कूर्म उवाच । श्रृणु भूप कथां दिव्यां श्रवणात्पापनाशिनीम् । कथां सुमधुरामेतां शिवमाहात्म्यसंयुताम्
kūrma uvāca | śrṛṇu bhūpa kathāṃ divyāṃ śravaṇātpāpanāśinīm | kathāṃ sumadhurāmetāṃ śivamāhātmyasaṃyutām
អណ្តើកបាននិយាយ៖ ព្រះមហាក្សត្រា សូមស្តាប់រឿងទេវីយ៍មួយនេះ ដែលគ្រាន់តែស្តាប់ក៏បាបត្រូវបានបំផ្លាញ។ រឿងនេះផ្អែមល្ហែមយ៉ាងខ្លាំង ហើយពោរពេញដោយមហាត្ម្យនៃព្រះសិវៈ។
