अगस्त्य उवाच । श्रुत्वा स्कंद न तृप्तोस्मि तव वक्त्रेरितां कथाम् । अत्याश्चर्यकरं प्रोक्तमाख्यानं बैंदुमाधवम्
agastya uvāca | śrutvā skaṃda na tṛptosmi tava vaktreritāṃ kathām | atyāścaryakaraṃ proktamākhyānaṃ baiṃdumādhavam
អគស្ត្យៈបាននិយាយថា៖ ឱ ស្កន្ទៈ ទោះបានស្តាប់កថាដែលចេញពីមាត់របស់អ្នកផ្ទាល់ ក៏ខ្ញុំមិនទាន់ពេញចិត្តទេ។ អាខ្យានអំពី បិន្ទុ-មាធវៈ ដែលអ្នកបានពោល គឺអស្ចារ្យលើសលប់។
