कर्मणा येन केशाः स्युः स्निग्धाः कुसुमवर्षिणः । नाकारि कर्णवेधोस्य जनित्रा समये शुभे
karmaṇā yena keśāḥ syuḥ snigdhāḥ kusumavarṣiṇaḥ | nākāri karṇavedhosya janitrā samaye śubhe
នោះជាពិធីដែលធ្វើឲ្យសក់រលោង និង ‘បញ្ចេញផ្កា’ គឺនាំមង្គលនិងសោភា; ប៉ុន្តែនៅពេលអ शुभ ឪពុកម្តាយរបស់គាត់មិនបានធ្វើ ‘កರ್ಣវេធ’ (ចោះត្រចៀក) ឲ្យគាត់ឡើយ។
