नारद उवाच । अष्टादशसहस्रास्ते ब्राह्मणा वेदपारगाः । कथं ते व्यभजन्ग्रामान्द्रामो त्पन्नं तथा वसु । वस्त्राद्यं भूषणाद्यं च तन्मे कथय सुव्र तम्
nārada uvāca | aṣṭādaśasahasrāste brāhmaṇā vedapāragāḥ | kathaṃ te vyabhajangrāmāndrāmo tpannaṃ tathā vasu | vastrādyaṃ bhūṣaṇādyaṃ ca tanme kathaya suvra tam
ព្រះនារ៉ទបានមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ព្រាហ្មណ៍ទាំង១៨,០០០ នោះជាអ្នកឈានដល់ចំណេះវេទ។ ពួកគេបានចែកចាយភូមិ និងទ្រព្យសម្បត្តិដែលកើតឡើងពីនោះយ៉ាងដូចម្តេច? ហើយសម្លៀកបំពាក់ និងគ្រឿងអលង្ការត្រូវបានចែកចាយយ៉ាងដូចម្តេច? ឱ អ្នកមានវត្ដដ៏ប្រសើរ សូមប្រាប់ខ្ញុំផង»។
