Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā
Type: river
Listener: Hutāśana (Agni)
Scene: Śiva instructs Agni (Hutāśana) to cast the unbearable seed/tejas into the Gaṅgā’s waters; the river glows with contained fire.
Sacred waters are portrayed as divine supports for cosmic balance—Gaṅgā becomes a vessel for transforming overwhelming power into auspicious outcome.
Gaṅgā is explicitly invoked as holy waters; within Skanda Purāṇa’s sacred-geography ethos, Gaṅgā-tīrthas are implicitly sanctified.
A directive to place/cast the tejas into Gaṅgā’s waters (a narrative instruction rather than a human ritual).
