Rama together with Lakshmana having offered respectful salutations to the sages, sat in front of the sagacious Viswamitra.
Dharma includes sincere inquiry in the presence of the wise: seeking truth (satya) through respectful questioning is portrayed as a noble path to right understanding.
Seated before Viśvāmitra after the evening halt, Rāma begins to ask about the surrounding region.
Intellectual humility and eagerness to learn—curiosity guided by respect for the teacher.
