द्वितीयः सर्गः — श्लोकप्रादुर्भावः
The Manifestation of the Śloka
शिष्यस्तु तस्य ब्रुवतो मुनेर्वाक्यमनुत्तमम् ।प्रतिजग्राह संहृष्टस्तस्य तुष्टोऽभवद्गुरु: ।।1.2.19।।
śiṣyas tu tasya bruvato muner vākyam anuttamam |
pratijagrāha saṃhṛṣṭas tasya tuṣṭo 'bhavad guruḥ ||1.2.19||
ពេលមុនីបានពោលពាក្យដ៏អស្ចារ្យឥតប្រៀបនោះ សិស្សរបស់ទ្រង់បានទទួលយកដោយសេចក្តីរីករាយ និងរក្សាទុកក្នុងចិត្ត; គ្រូក៏ពេញចិត្តចំពោះសិស្សនោះ។
His disciple, delighted by the excellent verse composed by the sage, committed it to memory which left his spiritual preceptor pleased.
Dharma is preserved through faithful learning and transmission: the disciple receives and retains the teaching, enabling ethical knowledge to endure.
The disciple gladly accepts and memorizes the newly formed śloka, and the teacher is satisfied with the disciple’s receptivity.
Śiṣya-dharma: attentiveness, joy in learning, and accurate retention—qualities that support the continuity of sacred literature.
