Visvamitra Requests Rama for Yajna-Protection
वीर्योत्सिक्तौ हि तौ पापौ कालपाशवशं गतौ।।।।रामस्य राजशार्दूल न पर्याप्तौ महात्मन:।
vīryotsiktau hi tau pāpau kāla-pāśa-vaśaṃ gatau |
rāmasya rājaśārdūla na paryāptau mahātmanaḥ ||
អ្នកអាក្រក់ទាំងពីរ ដែលស្រវឹងដោយអំណាចកម្លាំង បានធ្លាក់ចូលក្នុងខ្សែបង្ខំរបស់កាលៈ—មរណៈ—រួចហើយ។ ឱ ព្រះរាជសីហ៍ ពួកគេមិនមែនជាគូប្រកួតសមស្របសម្រាប់ព្រះរាមា មហាត្មា ទេ។
"O king! it is not proper for you to hesitate because of your paternal affection. You need to know that both the rakshasas will perish. This, I assure you.
Adharma is self-defeating: violent arrogance (‘pride in strength’) leads inevitably to downfall, while dharmic power (Rāma’s) is portrayed as aligned with cosmic order.
Viśvāmitra reassures Daśaratha that the threatening rākṣasas are destined to perish and that Rāma is fully capable of protecting the sacrifice.
Rāma’s mahātmatā—great-souled steadiness and righteous capability—contrasted with the demons’ sinful pride.
