Commencement and Performance of Daśaratha’s Aśvamedha
प्लक्षशाखासु यज्ञानामन्येषां क्रियते हवि:।अश्वमेधस्य यज्ञस्य वैतसो भाग इष्यते।।।।
plakṣaśākhāsu yajñānām anyeṣāṃ kriyate haviḥ |
aśvamedhasya yajñasya vaitaso bhāga iṣyate ||
ក្នុងយញ្ញផ្សេងៗ គេធ្វើហវីដោយប្រើសាខាដើមផ្លក្ស (plakṣa) ប៉ុន្តែសម្រាប់យញ្ញអશ્વមេធ (Aśvamedha) នោះ បានកំណត់ឲ្យមានភាគវៃតស (vaitasa—ដើមអំពៅព្រៃ/កន្ទ្រាំង) ជាផ្នែកត្រឹមត្រូវ។
In other sacrifices oblations are offered with branches of a plaksha tree but in Aswamedha a branch of cane creeper is chosen instead.
