Kaikeyi’s Demand and the Noose of the King’s Promise
स मन्यमानः कल्याणं हृदयेन ननन्द च।।।।निर्जगाम च सम्प्रीत्या त्वरितो राजशासनात्।
sa manyamānaḥ kalyāṇaṃ hṛdayena nananda ca | nirjagāma ca samprītyā tvarito rājaśāsanāt ||
ដោយជឿក្នុងចិត្តថា ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍មង្គលកំពុងនឹងកើតឡើង គាត់ក៏រីករាយ; ហើយតាមព្រះបញ្ជារបស់ព្រះរាជា គាត់បានចេញដំណើរភ្លាមៗដោយសេចក្តីពេញចិត្ត។
Thinking that an auspicious event will take place, he rejoiced at heart and in obedience to royal order, left at once.
Dharma here appears as faithful service: carrying out legitimate authority’s instruction promptly and with a sincere mind, assuming auspicious intent in the king’s actions.
Sumantra, expecting good news, happily departs immediately to carry out the order to summon Rama.
