Suta (narrator) describing the Avimukta/Kashi doctrine of liberation
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that Avimukta (Kāśī) is a mokṣa-kṣetra where the Lord dwelling there grants final deliverance by personally giving a liberating instruction at the moment of death.
Liberation is shown as arising from divine grace received through devotion to the Lord of Avimukta—He Himself intervenes for the devotee (or any dying person there), emphasizing surrender and sacred place-based bhakti.
It reflects ritual-practical tradition (prayoga) around antyeṣṭi and deathbed upadeśa—especially the right-ear transmission (karṇa-upadeśa) associated with Kashi’s Avimukta-mahātmyas.
