Narada (teaching in a didactic passage on ritual procedure)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes that merit from dīpa-dāna depends not only on devotion but also on correct vidhi—especially the precise tithi timing—showing that disciplined ritual order supports spiritual fruit.
By directing the devotee to offer a lamp at specific sacred times, it channels bhakti into a concrete act of worship—light offered with attention and reverence—so devotion becomes steady and rule-guided.
Tithi-based ritual timing (connected to Jyotiṣa/Vedic calendrics) is highlighted: the offering is prescribed specifically at the start of Ṣaṣṭī and Dvitīyā, reflecting technical observance of lunar days.
