Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It emphasizes ritual discernment: certain powerful energies (śaktis) should not be combined indiscriminately, because improper conjunction creates doṣa (harmful results), while correct worship is described as protective and restorative.
Bhakti here is shown as disciplined devotion—reverence expressed through right method (vidhi). The verse implies that sincere worship must be aligned with scriptural procedure to yield auspicious fruits like protection and well-being.
It highlights ritual-technical knowledge—rules of worship, avoidance of ritual faults, and the applied aim of rites for protection (akālamṛtyu-śānti) and health—typical of the technical orientation of Book 1.3.
