The verse presents a dharmic sequence: cleanse oneself at a tīrtha (snāna), honor the deity (abhyarcana), and complete the act with generosity (dāna) toward brāhmaṇas—linking personal purity, devotion, and social responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Balarāma, at an excellent sacred place, bathes, worships Skanda, and then gives gifts—gold, clothing, and ornaments—to brāhmaṇas, marking his pious conduct during his movements in the Shalya Parva context.
