Ayurvedic netra-cikitsā: a practical ocular remedy using trikatu (vyoṣa) with Triphalā, prepared with water, and the use of rasāñjana as an eye-application for pacifying eye disorders.
It shows the Agni Purana functioning as a compendium beyond mythology—preserving applied medical knowledge (Ayurveda/ophthalmology), including materia medica (Triphalā, rasāñjana) and therapeutic indications (sarvākṣi-roga).
By promoting healing and preservation of sight (a key sense-faculty used for dharma and worship), the instruction supports sattvic well-being and the capacity to perform religious duties; caring for health is treated as dharma-supporting conduct in Purāṇic ethics.
