asaṃkhyatvācca caṃdrāṇāṃ janmanāmaprabhedataḥ | manvantare tu saṃjāte yugānāmekasaptatau

「月は数え切れぬほど多く、その出生と名がそれぞれ異なるゆえである。ひとたびマンヴァンタラ（Manvantara）が起こり——七十一のユガより成るとき——諸循環はそのように進む。」
