किं फलं गमने तस्यां किं फलं कृष्णदर्शने । कानि तीर्थानि तत्रैव के देवास्तद्वदस्व नः
kiṃ phalaṃ gamane tasyāṃ kiṃ phalaṃ kṛṣṇadarśane | kāni tīrthāni tatraiva ke devāstadvadasva naḥ
「その地へ赴く功徳はいかほどか。そこでクリシュナを拝見する功徳はいかほどか。そこにあるティールタはいずれ、また祀られる神々はいずれか。われらに語り給え。」
Ṛṣis (Sages)
Tirtha: Dvārakā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Brāhmaṇas (and by extension the audience at Naimiṣa)
Scene: A circle of brāhmaṇas respectfully question about Dvārakā’s pilgrimage fruits—merit of going, merit of Kṛṣṇa-darśana, the list of local tīrthas and resident deities—setting a didactic, itinerary-like tone.
Pilgrimage is evaluated by phala (spiritual fruit), centered on darśana of the Lord and knowledge of the site’s tīrthas and devatās.
Dvārakā as a kṣetra, with its internal network of tīrthas (to be detailed in subsequent verses).
None directly; it requests guidance about practices and sacred locations.
