यस्याः सकृज्जलस्नानं स्पर्द्धते ब्रह्मविद्यया । तेन वै गोमती सेयं सर्वतीर्थोत्तमोत्तमा । ब्रह्मज्ञानेन मुच्यंते प्रयागमरणेन वा । स्नानमात्रेण गोमत्यां मुच्यते पूर्वजैः सह
yasyāḥ sakṛjjalasnānaṃ sparddhate brahmavidyayā | tena vai gomatī seyaṃ sarvatīrthottamottamā | brahmajñānena mucyaṃte prayāgamaraṇena vā | snānamātreṇa gomatyāṃ mucyate pūrvajaiḥ saha
この女神においては、水に一度身を浸すだけで、梵智（ブラフマ・ヴィディヤー）の救済力にも比肩する。ゆえにこのゴーマティーは、あらゆるティールタの中の最上の最上である。解脱は梵我の悟りによって、あるいはプラヤーガでの死によって得られるが、ゴーマティーでただ沐浴するだけで、祖霊とともに解放される。
