न विद्यया केवलया तपसा वापि पात्रता । यत्र वृत्तिमिमे चोभे तद्वि पात्रं प्रचक्षते
na vidyayā kevalayā tapasā vāpi pātratā | yatra vṛttimime cobhe tadvi pātraṃ pracakṣate
布施を受けるに足る器は、学識だけからも、苦行だけからも生じない。正しい行いとそれらの徳とがともに備わる者こそ、真の受け手（パートラ）と説かれる。
