Narrator (contextual, within Skanda-to-Agastya frame)
Tirtha: Viśveśvara in Kāśī
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim/devotee departs after uttering a concise benediction to Viśveśvara; the remaining brāhmaṇa stands in Kāśī, enduring scorn from other brāhmaṇas yet choosing to stay.
Pleasing Viśveśa is the highest aim in Kāśī; steadfast dharma may invite criticism, yet remains spiritually superior.
Kāśī (Vārāṇasī), where the ideal refrain is ‘May Viśveśa be pleased,’ and residence itself is spiritually charged.
A devotional utterance (bhakti-vākya)—‘Viśveśaḥ prīyatām’—is modeled as the concluding intention behind actions.
