मार्कण्डेय उवाच । साधु प्रश्नो महाराज पृष्टो यो वै त्वयोत्तमः । पुराणे विस्तरो ह्यस्य न शक्यो हि मयाधुना
mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | sādhu praśno mahārāja pṛṣṭo yo vai tvayottamaḥ | purāṇe vistaro hyasya na śakyo hi mayādhunā
マールカンデーヤは言った。「大王よ、まことに善き問いであり、あなたの問うたそれは最上の問いである。その全き展開はプラーナの伝承に属し、今ここで余すところなく語り尽くすことは私にはできぬ。」
