そこへ赴いた彼らは、初めからの一切を王に奏上した。「大王よ、先に私はある女人を見ました。心を奪うほどに麗しい者でした。」
Suta Goswami (narrating the story to the sages, reporting a dialogue spoken to a king)
Tattva Level: pashu
The verse highlights how worldly fascination begins as a “report” to the mind/authority (the king), setting the stage for discernment—an important Shaiva theme where devotion and right understanding must govern sensory attraction.
Though the verse is narrative, it contrasts transient charm with the need to anchor attention in Saguna Shiva (Linga-worship and kathā-śravaṇa), so the seeker does not get carried away by appearances.
Practice mindful restraint and redirect attention to Shiva through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and regular Shiva-kathā listening, so reports of sense-objects do not dominate the inner ruler (buddhi).
