Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Naṭarāja
Type: stotra
Cosmic Event: celestial celebration as an auspicious omen following the removal of adharma
It portrays the spontaneous outpouring of bhakti—love-filled praise expressed through dance and song—showing that when Shiva’s grace and victory manifest, the purified heart naturally turns to stuti (adoration), which uplifts consciousness toward the Pati (Lord) beyond fear and conflict.
The verse reflects Saguna-bhakti: devotees celebrate the manifest deeds and glory of Shiva through kirtana and song. In Linga worship too, such praise (stotra, nāma-japa, gīta) is offered as loving service, recognizing the Linga as the accessible, worshipful presence of the transcendent Lord.
Adopt kirtana/stotra with steady rhythm and sweet intonation, supported by mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”); on Mahāśivarātri, combine this with simple offerings and inward remembrance to keep the mind absorbed in Shiva.
