It teaches that true Śiva-pūjā is completed by humility and mantra: after offering abundant worship, the devotee bows again and sanctifies speech by naming Śiva with Praṇava and “namaḥ,” aligning the soul (paśu) toward the Lord (Pati) through devotion.
The instruction is a ritual mantra-vidhi suited to Saguna worship—addressing Śiva by name in a direct, offering-oriented manner (dative case), commonly used while worshipping the Liṅga with repeated salutations and reverent prostrations.
Chant name-mantras beginning with Oṁ and ending with “namaḥ” (e.g., “oṃ śivāya namaḥ”), using dative-case addressing, and perform repeated namaskāra/prostration as part of Śiva-pūjā or japa.
