Devas’ Hymn, Nandikeśvara’s Petition, and Śiva’s Rising from Samādhi
महाधनुर्धरेणैव मदनेन हठात्सुराः । सर्वेषां ध्यानविध्वंसः कृतस्तेन पुरापुरा
mahādhanurdhareṇaiva madanena haṭhātsurāḥ | sarveṣāṃ dhyānavidhvaṃsaḥ kṛtastena purāpurā
いにしえに、ああ神々よ、大弓を執るマダナ(カーマ)によって、集える者すべての禅定(ディヤーナ)は力ずくで打ち砕かれた。

The verse highlights kāma (desire) as a powerful obstruction that can shatter even established meditation; in Shaiva Siddhanta, such distraction is a form of pāśa (bondage) to be overcome through Shiva-centric discipline and grace.
It implies that steady worship of Saguna Shiva—often centered on the Śiva-liṅga—stabilizes the mind against desire’s disturbances, turning scattered attention back to the Lord as the support of dhyāna.
Maintain protective dhyāna through japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa, cultivating vairāgya so desire does not break concentration.
