彼らのうち幾人かはただちに主シヴァの御前へ赴き、瞬く間に、その出来事の一部始終を余すところなくシヴァに申し上げた。

Role: teaching
The verse highlights Śiva’s accessibility to devotees: when beings approach Him directly and speak truthfully, He responds as the compassionate Pati (Lord) who oversees and resolves the karmic and dharmic unfolding of events.
It reflects Saguna Śiva—personally present, hearer of prayers and reports. In Linga-worship, the devotee similarly approaches Śiva with direct offering and sincere communication (ārādhana and prārthanā), trusting His immediate grace.
A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) expressed through direct prayer: approach Śiva mentally or at the Liṅga, offer water/bilva, and state one’s situation truthfully while repeating the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—seeking His guidance.
