It emphasizes dharma through discipline and obedience: sacred spaces and sacred instructions should not be violated by impulse or force, reflecting the Shaiva ideal of self-restraint (niyama) that supports inner purity.
In Shaiva practice, the sanctum (gṛhāntara/inner space) parallels the sanctity of the Linga’s worship-area: entry and action must follow proper authorization, purity, and right conduct, honoring Saguna Shiva through orderly ritual and reverence.
The takeaway is niyama (regulated conduct): approach Shiva-pūjā only with proper preparation—cleanliness, mental restraint, and adherence to instructions—supporting mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with discipline.
