प्र केतुना बृहता यात्यग्निरा रोदसी वृषभो रोरवीति । दिवश्चिदन्ताँ उपमाँ उदानळपामुपस्थे महिषो ववर्ध ॥

prá ketúnā bṛhatā́ yāty agnír ā́ rodasī́ vṛṣabhó roravīti | diváś cid ántāṃ upamā́ṃ úd ānaḷ apā́m upásthe mahiṣó vavardha ||

アグニ(Agni)は広大なる光の旗印を掲げて進みゆく。牡牛のごとく二つの界(天地)に向かって轟き吼える。天の果てにさえ到り、諸々の尺度を超えて高く昇る。水々(Āpas)の懐において、この偉丈夫は育ち増した。
