प्र सु व आपो महिमानमुत्तमं कारुर्वोचाति सदने विवस्वतः । प्र सप्तसप्त त्रेधा हि चक्रमुः प्र सृत्वरीणामति सिन्धुरोजसा ॥

prá su va ā́po mahimā́nam ut-tamáṃ kā́rur vocāti sádane vivásvataḥ | prá sapta-sapta tredhā́ hí cakramuḥ prá sṛ́tvarīṇām áti síndhur ójasā ||

われは今、ヴィヴァスヴァト(Vivasvat)の住まいにおいて、汝ら水よ、その至高の偉大を宣べ告げる。七と七とは三重の秩序に従って巡り動き、しかしてシンドゥ(Sindhu)はその力によって、速く流れる諸流れを凌駕する——意識ある力の、万流を圧する奔流。
