Sukta 1.53
त्वं करञ्जमुत पर्णयं वधीस्तेजिष्ठयातिथिग्वस्य वर्तनी । त्वं शता वङ्गृदस्याभिनत्पुरोऽनानुदः परिषूता ऋजिश्वना ॥
tváṃ karañjám utá parṇáyaṃ vadhīs téjiṣṭhayā atithi-gvásya vartanī́ | tváṃ śatá varṅgṛ́dasya abhinát púro 'nānudáḥ párisūtā ṛ́jiśvanā ||
汝は最も鋭き力によってカランジャ（Karañja）を、またパルナヤ（Parṇaya）を討ち、アティティグヴァ（Atithigva）のために道を開いた。汝はヴァルングリダ（Varṅgṛda）の百の砦を打ち砕いた。リジシュヴァン（Ṛjiśvan）に追い立てられ、囲い込まれて、彼らは四方に散らされ――抗する力は光の進軍を押し返すことができなかった。
