ह्वयाम्यग्निं प्रथमं स्वस्तये ह्वयामि मित्रावरुणाविहावसे । ह्वयामि रात्रीं जगतो निवेशनीं ह्वयामि देवं सवितारमूतये ॥
Transliteration
hvayā́my agníṁ prathamáṁ svastáye hvayā́mi mitrā́varuṇāv ihā́vase | hvayā́mi rā́trīṁ jágato nivéśanīṁ hvayā́mi deváṁ savitā́ram ūtáye ||
Translation
われはまずアグニ（Agni）を呼ぶ、安寧と吉祥のために。われはミトラ＝ヴァルナ（Mitra–Varuṇa）をここに呼ぶ、守護の助けのために。われはラートリー（Rātrī）を呼ぶ、動く世界を住まわせ定める者を。われは神サヴィトリ（Savitṛ）を呼ぶ、養い護る加護のために。
