Sarga 76: Angada and the Vanara chiefs battle Kampana, Prajaṅgha, Yūpākṣa, Śoṇitākṣa; Kumbha enters and is checked by Sugrīva
तस्यांसफलकेखडगंनिजघानततोऽङ्गदः ।यज्ञोपवीतवच्चैनंचिच्छेदकपिकुञ्जरः ।।।।
tasyāṃsa-phalake khaḍgaṃ nijaghāna tato 'ṅgadaḥ |
yajñopavīta-vac cainaṃ ciccheda kapi-kuñjaraḥ ||
そのときアンガダは敵の広い肩当てに剣を打ち込み、猿たちの中の象たる彼は、まるで聖紐(ヤジュニョーパヴィータ)の筋に沿うかのように相手を断ち切った。
Then Angada pierced his sword on the fl at surface of his shoulder diagonally and cut him with his sword.
