The Slaying of Atikāya
ततोविद्याधराभूतादेवादैत्यामहर्षयः ।।।।गुह्यकाश्चमहात्मानस्तद्युद्धंद्रष्टुमागमन् ।
tato vidyādharā bhūtā devā daityā maharṣayaḥ | guhyakāś ca mahātmānas tad yuddhaṃ draṣṭum āgaman ||
そのとき、ヴィディヤーダラ、ブータ、デーヴァ、ダイティヤ、偉大なるリシたち、そして高貴なるグヒヤカらが、その戦いを見届けようと集い来た。
Then vidhyadharas, demons, devatas, daityas, sages and great guhyakas arrived at the battlefield to witness.
A dharmic struggle is portrayed as significant enough to draw cosmic witnesses, implying moral weight and accountability before the universe.
As the duel escalates, various celestial and semi-celestial beings gather to watch the confrontation.
Not a single virtue, but the gravity of righteous conflict: the scene frames the duel as momentous within the moral order.
