कुम्भकर्णवधः
The Slaying of Kumbhakarna
शतानिसप्तचाष्टौ च सहस्राणि च वानराः ।प्रकीर्णाःशेरतेभूमौकुम्भकर्णेनपोधिताः ।।।।
śatāni sapta cāṣṭau ca sahasrāṇi ca vānarāḥ | prakīrṇāḥ śerate bhūmau kumbhakarṇena podhitāḥ ||
七百、八百、あるいは数千ものヴァナラたちが、クンバカルナによって打ち砕かれ、地面に散らばって横たわっていた。
Kumbhakarna held seven or eight or even hundred, thousand vanaras and threw them on the ground like serpents thrown by Garuda.
The verse highlights the moral cost of adharma-driven violence: brute force can scatter bodies, but it does not establish righteousness.
Kumbhakarṇa wreaks havoc in the battlefield, hurling large numbers of Vānaras to the ground.
Endurance and solidarity are implied as the Vānara forces suffer heavy blows yet remain part of the larger righteous campaign.
