Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
सर्वेपर्वतसङ्काशास्सर्वेपर्वतयोधिनः ।सर्वेदीप्तायुधधरायोधाश्चास्यमहोजस:।। 6.59.29।।
sarve parvata-saṅkāśāḥ sarve parvata-yodhinaḥ |
sarve dīptāyudha-dharā yodhāś cāsya mahaujasaḥ ||6.59.29||
彼の戦士は皆、山のごとくそびえ、皆、山をも投げるかのような闘士である。皆、燃え立つ武器を携え、その兵たちは大いなる力に満ちている。
"The great warriors of Ravana fighting in war are like mountains and all fought with mountains and glowing weapons."
Dharma in warfare includes sober appraisal and protection of one’s side through preparedness; righteousness does not mean naivety.
Rāma observes the overwhelming strength and armament of Rāvaṇa’s forces present on the battlefield.
Strategic prudence (nīti) allied with dharma: Rāma evaluates threats carefully to act effectively and justly.
