सीताविलापः—त्रिजटासान्त्वनं च
Sita’s Lament and Trijata’s Consolation
इदंचसुमहचचित्रंशरैःपश्यस्वमैथिलि ।निस्संज्ञावप्युभावेतौनैवलक्ष्मीर्विमुञ्चति ।।।।
idaṃ ca sumahac citraṃ śaraiḥ paśyasva maithili | nissaṃjñāv apy ubhāv etau naiva lakṣmīr vimuñcati ||
さらにこの大いなる奇瑞を見よ、マイティリーよ。二人は矢の雨の下に気を失って横たわっているのに、その光輝は少しも離れていない。
"O Mythili! Even though both of them have fallen and unconscious under arrows their body splendour has not diminished. You may see."
Dharma is discernment: do not conclude death from mere collapse; observe deeper signs and judge carefully, avoiding rash despair.
To refute the claim that the brothers are dead, the speaker points to their undiminished radiance as a sign of life and divine protection.
