Viewing Laṅkā and its Forest-Gardens
कुर्वन्तस्तेमहावेगामहींचरणपीडिताम् ।रजश्चसहसैवोर्थ्वंजगामचरणोत्थितम् ।।6.39.16।।
kurvantas te mahāvegā mahīṃ caraṇa-pīḍitām |
rajaś ca sahasaivordhvaṃ jagāma caraṇotthitam ||6.39.16||
猛き勢いの者たちは足で大地を踏みしめ、踏み上げられた塵はたちまち高く舞い上がった。
Those Vanaras endowed with speed went trampling down on the ground with force, the dust under their feet rose to the sky in a fraction of a second.
The verse underscores purposeful strength: power becomes dharmic when it is directed toward restoring justice, not toward oppression.
The army’s mass movement is so intense that the ground is pounded and dust rises, conveying the scale and momentum of the advance.
Utsāha (energetic resolve) and collective might—coordinated force in service of a righteous objective.
