Saramā Consoles Sītā; Preparations in Laṅkā
श्रीस्त्वांभजतिशोकघ्नीरक्षसांभयमागतम् ।रामःकमलपत्राक्षोदैत्यानामिववासवः ।।।।निर्जित्यजितक्रोधस्त्वामचिन्तपराक्रमः ।रावणंसमरेहत्वाभर्तात्वाऽधिगमिष्यति ।।।।
śrīs tvāṃ bhajati śokaghnī rakṣasāṃ bhayam āgatam |
rāmaḥ kamalapatrākṣo daityānām iva vāsavaḥ |
nirjitya jitakrodhas tvām acintaparākramaḥ |
rāvaṇaṃ samare hatvā bhartā tvām adhigamiṣyati ||
悲しみを滅する吉祥の女神は汝に寄り添い、恐れは羅刹たちに降りかかる。蓮華の花弁のごとき眼をもつラーマは、ダイティヤに臨むヴァーサヴァ(インドラ)のように、怒りを制し、思議を超えた武威をもって、戦場でラーヴァナを討ち、汝を取り戻す。夫たる彼は必ず汝を再び得るであろう。
"Your fire of anger will be gone. Your husband, the lotus-petal eyed Rama whose prowess is inconceivable like that of Indra who vanquished Daityas will come and kill Ravana and win you back."
Righteous power is disciplined power: Rāma’s mastery over anger aligns force with Dharma, making victory a restoration of justice rather than mere conquest.
Sītā is reassured that Rāma will defeat Rāvaṇa and bring her back; the speaker frames this as inevitable moral victory.
Rāma’s self-control (jitakrodha) and righteous valor (parākrama) used for protection and restoration of truth.
