かく告げられると、光輝に満ち、忍耐堅く、武勇揺るがぬラーマ――ダルマを支える者の最勝――は、神々の第一者に向かって語った。
"That Sita is auspicious and has surely not done any sin is known to three worlds. But she lived long in the gynaeceum of Ravana."
Dharma is portrayed as accountable speech: even the ideal king frames his reasoning before higher moral authority (the divine).
After the fire ordeal’s outcome, Rāma addresses the chief deity to explain or clarify his stance regarding Sītā and public doubt.
Steadfastness (dhṛti) and disciplined courage (dṛḍha-vikrama) guided by dharma.
