Vibhishana’s Lament after Ravana’s Fall; Instruction on Kshatriya-Dharma

"Either Prahastha or Indrajith or other Rakshasas, or even Kumbhakarna, an exceeding car warrior, nor Atikaya or Naranthaka or you also did not care for my counsel. Its consequence has come now."
Darpa (pride) blinds judgment; dharma requires humility and receptivity to wise counsel, especially when the stakes affect an entire kingdom.
A post-defeat reflection listing key Rākṣasa leaders who disregarded counsel, framing Rāvaṇa’s fall as the fruition of that collective arrogance.
Viveka (discernment) and vinaya (humility) as prerequisites for righteous leadership.
